    Beautiful color palette. Great eye. I needed a tutorial just like this. I made a necklace using seed beads, bicones, and pearls, and it needs a matching bracelet. I don’t like match-matchy jewerly. But I like it to match irregardless. So to achieve this I may use your idea but incorporates the same beads from my necklace. Mine will look different than yours. I would’ve loved to make something colorful. But this is obviously going to be a more strategic decision.

    Spent the last few hours making this. One thing I want to bring up, is that the side bicones didn’t fit. I used everything just like was instructed. However putting a 15-0 between the bicones on the sides seems to fix the issue. However there’s still an issue with the tension one way or another. 4mm is too small, 6mm crystal is too big, and a 15-0 on each side of 4mm on the sides was the best alternative. Thank you for this design. Took longer than I wanted

    • @TheLittleBeadingCloset

      I’m perplexed. I used Preciosa crystals 4mm bicone Miyuki 8/o seed beads Preciosa 11/o seed beads ( they are more like a Miyuki then a TOHO ) I wish I knew what was causing the tension issue on the side bicones for your bracelet. I’m glad to hear that you were able to make it work with the addition of size 15/o seed beads. Thanks for sharing your experience with me and I hope you have a beautiful week.

      Thanks for asking, I’ll revisit the idea of making earrings for this bracelet. Any excuse to play with 4mm bicones is a good one in my mind. I love this so much with the matching bracelet. I'll make for my mother's 90th birthday. I have to import the miniduo's from Australia (I'm in New Zealand) and would like an idea of how many grams I'll need for the 2 items please? I made your kiss ring in pink bicones for my gf. • @TheLittleBeadingCloset

      Hi, I remember you commenting that you made your girlfriend the ring. I hope your grandma has a beautiful birthday. I used 112 mini duos and 58 of the 3mm pearls for the necklace **but it was very short I think!! You need approximately 10 mini duos to make 1 inch of length per side (Looking back in hindsight I suggest a minimum of 132 mini duos for the necklace And probably 68 of the 3 mm pearls) And you need I believe it is 12 Miniduos and 10 3mm pearls for the tassel So at least ***144 Miniduos, for necklace And I’m pretty sure I used ****94 miniduos for the bracelet (Of course that may increase or decrease depending on her wrist size) I’m the USA They are sold in a tube that is approximately 8.5 grams and Approximately 170 beads and would recommend buying 2 tubes if this is how they are sold in Australia also. I hope this helps. Your beading friend, Sherry

      @@TheLittleBeadingCloset Hi Sherri, thank you so much for your prompt reply. I didn't know if I'd hear from you in time so I've ordered 3 viles. They're 8.2gm in Aus as well. Not a huge range of colours ,Mum likes silver beads so that's what she'll get. I adore the bracelet so I might make one for me as well with the extra beads 😁 though I wear a lot of gold these days. Mums going to love the set. She loves everything I make her and shows my hobby off to everyone and they all tell her how clever I am. I have little chuckle. Thank you so much for the design and your kindness. I love many of your patterns so I'll probably wear more of your art in future. I hope your having a great day. Enjoy your summer. Well I try to answer questions and respond in a timely manner but I understand wanting to start something and knowing what you need to order to begin. I get excited to try new things but have to order a majority of my beads as well. My mother in law is 91 and loves getting anything I make. It’s so cute to hear how your mom shows off your talents. It’s the best. I’m always thinking about the seasonal differences since I have viewers from all over the globe. It’s really nice beading is so global. * on a side note- The necklace video almost never made it, it had a lot of technical difficulties and apparently I did not film adding the pearls at the bottom of the tassel. Just a heads up. Sorry about that.

      @@TheLittleBeadingCloset we must be patient people to bead or do other crafts. Its not too hard to wait. I ordered beads for another project as well so I won't be ordering again for awhile. Mums are the best. She gets so much pleasure from things I've made from Hardanger to other needlework or my drawings. She has more pieces than I have. If make something that doesn't work out I unpick it and use the beads for something else, I can't do that with needlework 😉 UA-cam is global and different countries have different styles in their beading. It's fabulous. I always like things to be a bit different, never liked simple things. I suppose that's why people think I'm clever. It's just fun. Take care. Bye for now, Jo

    I needed 5 seed beads around each side of the crystal cluster to avoid gaps. I can only surmise that miyuki seed beads are smaller than those used in the video. Were you using TOHO beads, maybe? 5/11/24 @ 7:10 PM

    • @TheLittleBeadingCloset
      @TheLittleBeadingCloset Місяць тому

      Hi, I’m fairly sure I was using TOHO galvanized gold. Your right about Miyuki being a little smaller and probably causing the count difference. I hope you liked the way it turned out.

    • @gerrimartin4942
      @gerrimartin4942 Місяць тому

      It was better using 5 miyukis, but not as snug as I would have liked. If I make another, I will use TOHO beads, but I am too far along to start over.

    • @gerrimartin4942
      @gerrimartin4942 Місяць тому

      5/14 hi, I previously mentioned that I needed 5 beads around the sides of the become cluster. That addressed the immediate problem, but later on, the size difference between TOHO and Mizuki beads caused more problems. After I did a few segments joining the components, it became apparent that seven beads didn't do the trick. I had to take it all out and redo it with 8 beads. I thought that would correct the problem. It didn't, because the condo components were smaller because of the smaller beads used. There was no way to correct that, so I completed the bracelet. The finished project didn't sit flat and cupped up in places. I think it would be good if you amended your materials list to specify that Miyuki beads will not work, and recommend TOHO for this project. I'll try again, because your example is beautiful!

    Could you recommend needle and thread for making rings ? I am struggling to find the right one.

      Beading needle-- My absolute favorite beading needle is ((Beadsmith English Beading Needles, Size 12, 4 Needles per Card,)) I think the eye is easy to thread But somehow still slim enough to go through any beading situation I need; even size 15 seed beads with multiple passes. They are not brittle and will not break in half with too much pressure; although they may take on a slight bend with a lot of use but I don’t mind that. Beading thread. -- I really like wildfire because it is a little stiffer and super durable. I used it to attach a strand of beads to a facemask once upon a time and put it in the washer and dryer about 100 times and it never broke. - that says something. But when I’m working with crystals that are pretty transparent or light in color I usually use Fireline in Crystal So the thread doesn’t show through very much. I personally try to design my patterns so the thread will not rub on the crystal on break Although if you pull the fire line super tight along a Crystal edge it could certainly cut it. If you have any other questions I’ll do my best to share what works for me. Thanks for asking and I hope you have a beautiful weekend.

    Wow. This would be great in jet black too. I think it would be easier for me to make the two bangles using double needle technique. The up, down and around confused me a bit.

    That's a beautiful bracelet. I would have loved to have one of those for my fur baby but she has passed. So i would love it for myself. If o can ask where do i get the diamond duo beads from. I've never seen beads like that before.

      Hi, I’m sure your fur baby would have appreciated it. The beads are pretty easy to find. Michaels craft stores recently started selling them. You can order them from almost ever online bead store Eureka CRYSTAL BEADS has the pink mist plus other colors ARTBEAD AURA CRYSTALS - plus search on Etsy for possibilities. Gem duo or Diamond duo Gemduo or Diamonduo Hope this helps 💖
